Have you just plugged the scanner in and let Windows ME identify it? I just
tried my 1220u on a Winme machine. It recognized the scanner and
automatically installed it's own software for it. You won't be able to use
the Vista scan software that came with your scanner but you can acquire
images from it using any twain compliant imaging program. There is a Kodak
imaging program that comes with Winme. PaintShopPro or any of the other
graphics programs will work too. After you plug in your scanner and WinME
installs software just go to the Kodak imaging and select file/Scan New. A
scanner screen will come up and you are set to go.
