Dean: A Side note:
I discontinued use of one computer on a three machine license of NIS2010,
(Norton Internet Security) and contacted Symantec and they allowed the transfer
of that one single license to the new machine.
With all the automation and telemetry they use to track machines and licenses
I figured I had nothing to loose and that it would be easy for them. (It was.)
The old machine was no longer running, so there was no "live decomissioning"
of the software like some other companies will allow, (during a switch).
I used their own "chat" service from inside the help section of the program,
so it litterally did not cost me a thing...
Never hurts to ask the software company...
