Hi there...
As mentioned in the previous reply on this subject... Norton Antivirus
may be the culprit. If you have NAV running on your system, right click on
the NAV icon in your system tray, (next to your time) and select options,
click on the Advanced button in the resulting screen and unselect "check
floppies on shutdown".
