Your e-mail addresses surprisingly are in an executable file called
"WAB.EXE". Just make periodic copies of that file which can be found on
c:\Program Files\Outlook Express.

For your mail boxes, they are all saved with the "dbx" extension. To find
out what folder they're stored on in your computer, click on Tools\Options
then the Maintenance tab and finally, the "Store Folder" box. You can change
the folder to a different name if you want. For example, I've changed my
folder for my mailboxes to the folder name c:\Program Files\Outlook
Express\Mail Messages.

If you have a number of mailboxes, probably the easiest way to back them up
is to just zip the contents of the folder. That's what I do.
