Do yourself a favor, if you're new to Linux, get a distribution (my
choice? Redhat 6.0) on a CD with a book. Trust me, you'll need it. Check
around and see if there are any Linux User's Group computer clubs in
your area. Linux is a tough nut to crack even if you know DOS, but it's
getting better. It is *not* a consumer OS like Windows. This is not by
any means meant to discourage you, Linux is headed nowhere but up. The
journey, however, can get a little rocky.
