PCSOFT Digest - 22 Jan 2007 to 23 Jan 2007 (#2007-23)in trying to free up space on my hd  from the "install-uninstall applications" list from the control panel, i see i have a whopping 3753,00Mb for mcafee clean up tool, if i try to uninstall it it tells me it is already uninstalled, do i want to remove the name from the list?
if however i open the mcafee security center, version 7.1, build 7.1.i37, the left menu offers me a "maintain computer" option that opens a " quick clean" page. the quick clean application doesn't actually run well and stops after a short time with an error message in mcafee MISP shell.
but obviously the "quick cleaner" application is there and i would like to get rid of  all the disk space it occupies, all i need is the virus scan protection. my op is xphome with sp2.
can anyone explain how i can get rid of it?
