I don't currently have Netscape loaded on my machine but as I recall, it was
a whole lot easier to control and sort Bookmarks in Netscape than it is with
IE Favorites.

If memory serves me properly, bring up Bookmarks in edit mode using the keys
<Ctrl><B> together. RIGHT click on the folder you'd like to sort and you
should see a "sort" option. I believe you can then choose to sort ascending,
descending, by last access, etc. If you want to sort all the folders at one
time, right click on the topmost/leftmost folder and then make your choice.

Would appreciate it if you let us know if this did work as I've described.

A further note!

Once you've brought Bookmarks up in edit mode using <Ctrl><B>, you can
double click on any bookmark to open that webpage. I personally found this
was an easier for me to find and select and open a webpage. Since you have
to do this (open) with a double click, it then makes it easier to move
individual entries to a new location if you so desire. To move an entry,
just click on the entry with the LEFT mouse button and while still holding
the button down, slide the entry into its new position. You can move the
entry within its current folder - or to another one altogether. The entries
in your folders will remain in their new positions until such time as you
choose to sort the folder(s) as described above.

By the way, when you've brought up the Bookmarks using <Ctrl><B>, it makes
it really easy to find an obscure entry that you haven't used for a long
time. The edit menu provides full search capability so you can find things
like "nugget" or "library" anywhere in any of your bookmark entries be they
part of the web address or your comments on that site.

Makes me think I'd like to reload Netscape right now . . .

Good luck,
Larry Stewart
