I use Windows Explorer instead of My Computer to browse my computer files. I prefer the two windows it brings up. I recently bought an Acer laptop (Windows Home) and when using Windows Explorer and clicking on a folder in the right hand window, the folder opens and shows the files contained therein. However, on my desktop computer (Windows XP Pro) when I click on a folder in the right hand window, a search window comes up. I much prefer the laptop configuration and cannot find how to change to this and away from the search function in my desktop. Is this a unique function of XP Pro or can someone tell me how get rid of the search window?

Marilyn
