After you have copied your files back to your hard drive, open a DOS
window. Then change the prompt to the directory when you have
copied your files as in: c:\myfiles
Use the ATTRIB function to change your file attributes, (turn off the
read only property), as follows:
attrib -r *.* /s
This will turn off the read only property to all the files in the directory. The
" /s " switch on the end will carry the process to all the subdirectories below
in your current directory. This is a very fast process and common to copying
files from a CD disk.
