I am going to install WinXp on my machine which is currently running Win2k.

Usually, I would opt for creating a new partition and doing a "clean"
install of a new OS. However, I have a ton of stuff running and thought of
re-installing all my programs etc is daunting. The WinXp setup, like its
predecessors recommends "upgrading" the existing OS so that I don't lose
settings, files etc.

Will I regret taking the easier route and doing the Xp installation over top
of the Win2k installation, or should I bite the bullet and do fresh install
into a new partition?

Michael
