    I do not believe that Win 95B did any eating of your material.  It
sounds very much like a VIRUS!  I would strongly suggest that you get an
anti-virus program, either one of the shareware types on the Internet or one
of the commercial programs, such as Norton or McAfee, before you try
reinstalling Win 95B.
