Tell him to right click the file C:\MSDOS.SYS, click properties, and uncheck
read-only and hidden, then open the file with notepad, click on open or
open with. There is and entry BootGUI=x where x is zero or one, make it
one (1) and save the file. Now you have to right click it again and put the
check marks back in read-only and hidden. After all this reboot and he
should boot into windows.
