 Go to www.dell.com and navigate to support.  You need to have your "service tag" number for the computer.  When you enter that number it will tell you exactly how your computer looked when it left the factory.

Sometime last year someone posted a site that would enable a DELL PC owner to 
access and download the system info for the unit as it came from the factory. I
