You can purchase external cases in which you put your hard drive.  The cases 
then connect to a USB port.  They are of varying quality and price.  The 
best thing to do is to go to somewhere like NewEgg.com and read the customer 
reviews for the case that you are considering purchasing.

You need to make sure that the case is of the right kind, i.e. IDE or SATA.
