Yes, this is the same person that posted before. I have tried everything
anyone has suggested. The moment I try to get something off the web, I get
Microsoft error messages that say: Send or Don't Send when I click on a box
saying there is an error. I get sent back to my home page every time.
This unit is an ACER & has Windows 98 in it. My decisions now rest on
getting into another cpu that has XP on it, rather than get this one fixed.
It might cost me about the same, I don't know, hence the inquiries about "to
be or not to be".
Thanks. mjt

Hi,
this is very similar to your earlier post " Last, or almost last, call ab=
out why & how to fix my cpu." dated Sun, 9 Apr 2006 09:40:57 -0700 .
if i remember right there were two good responses but i do no know whethe=
r you followed the suggestions since there is no further post from you on=
eway or another.
<<<<My question is: Get this cpu cleaned up with Windows 98 or spend ABO=
UT the same amount of money to get into Windows XP with another cpu>>>
any way, from your current post (clipped above) do you mean that your ope=
rating system is win 98 and wish to know whether a reinstall will help or=
whether you should upgrade to win xp?
unless we have additional info it will be difficult to suggest any fix.
good luck---Venkat
