This is usually an IRQ conflict with your sound board. The windows device
mgr. does not always
recognize conflicts with non PNP cards, even with some that are. I've had
this happen many times
and device mgr. never shows a conflict. Go into device mgr and look at
sound system properties change the interrupt
to an unused IRQ. If you don't have any you can share with the printer, IRQ
7, I've been doing this for a year with no problems.
9 or 10 will probably be available though. Good luck. Let me know if you
