Is there generic/dependable DVD software I can use for a DVD device that I
don't know what brand it is?  Trying to fix a friend's computer where he kept
loading in various programs to play DVD/CD and burn CD's.  Now it's so messed
up it's at a crawl and freezes up constantly.  I recommended  a clean Win98
install and can get drivers for his SBLive Platinum, NEC monitor, Nvidia
GeForce2 card but I still need something to operate or install his DVD.  Will
installation drivers also be necessary for his Yamaha 16x burner?  I
suggested he buy Nero for burning.  Will that be all that's necessary?  He
has a AMD 900Mhz 512 Ram running Win98se.

I appreciate any help.
