Hi.  You need to update your virus definitions regularly.

For Norton, go to http://www.symantec.com.

You will find a link to Download Virus Definitions.

On the same page, there is also another helpful link: Symantec Security
Check for Home Users.  Maybe this will find the problem.

I got about 100 messages a day
I got about 5 alert of virus detected by Norton and put in Quarantaine I
got about 5 mail delivery system or mail delivery service notifying i
sent messages sometimes with virus with funny address (i did'nt sent
those messages)
I checked regurlarly my disks for virus with differents system Norton pc
trend  and they never find any viruses generally the types of virus are
Klez or big bear(?) not sure of the name!! That starts about 6 weeks ago
at the beginning i think i could last one day but it's getting worse
