In Alan Thompson's excellent list of suggestions he includes

> 2)Install programs in c:\program files -- (eg. c:\program
files\Microsoft games\etc.)
> Many users simply install programs into C:\ which can bog the system.

Can this be explained?

He also writes

temp
> folder itself, but everything in it is safe to delete. You should do
this regularly.
> You can ignore the warnings as long as you NEVER delete the actual Temp
Folder.

Is there an option that will do this automatically each time computer is
shut down?
