Are you getting an error message, or does defrag just fail to complete?
Background processes, especially screensavers, often cause defrag to
stop and start. The easiest solution is to run defrag and scandisk in
safe mode.
I found your email confusing at first, as you've put the first sentence
of your question in the subject line instead of the body of the message.
It might have been better to use a subject like "Defrag and Firefox".
