In my opinion, WinME is not really an upgrade from anything. It is
notoriously buggy, and temperamental. If you upgraded from Win98se, I
would try to go back to that OS.

I don't think that memory managers are very effective on any version of
Windows past Win95. I would probably also get rid of MaxMem and simply
upgrade my memory if needed. It might also help to know what type of
system you are using, your current memory situation, and what your old
OS was.
