The following was a tip in a recent edition of The Computer Lady newsletter (which is very good for novices) at http://asktcl.com/
I have not had a need to try this, but I entered it in my address book to use if I need it.
Dear Computer Lady,
If you suspect an email is infested with a virus, send it to
[log in to unmask], and if it is infested, you'll get an immediate report
like this:
The mail message (file: Rubric for Upper ElementaryMath.doc.pif) you
sent to [log in to unmask] contains a virus (TROJ_SIRCAM.A). This
message generated by scan host redwolf.ftc.gov. More info on this
virus may be found at http://www.antivirus.com/vinfo
All the best. Bill
