Al,
When booting from a floppy for DOS like operations, as an alternative to
copying or moving the file or files, you could create a path environment
setting so the OS knows where to search for command files. Add something
like this to your floppy's autoexec.bat file:
path=a:\;c:\Windows\;c:\windows\command\
This tells the OS to search the root of A:, then C:\Windows, then
C:\Windows\Command\ folders for a command typed at the DOS/Command Window
prompt.
You can add folder paths to an existing path command, if one already
exists, just append them at the end separating with a ";".
You can also learn the existing path by typing "path" only at the DOS
prompt. If no path command exists, the default will be the boot root.
