I'm not sure what your problem might be, unless it is that you expect to print the screen directly to a printer. This worked in many cases in the "days of DOS", but nowadays a more precise name for the "Print Screen" key is "Copy Screen", since it copies the screen to the Windows clipboard. If you need to print the screen as it appears, you need to open a word processor, wordpad, or notepad document and paste 'there' after pressing the Print Screen key. This will place an image of your screen in the document, and it can be printed from there.

Well, that's a little vague... Are you hitting the Print Screen key ant then nothing happens? All the Print Screen key does is load the image of your screen into the copy buffer. You then need to open a graphics program and paste the image into it to work with the image.
