What you answered makes sense, but I have two questions.  What is a clean boot???  And how do you back up the reg files.  I don't
even know where to find them.  Do you just copy them to a floppy??

 Mostly the reg
files get corrupted and the only way to fix it is from a clean boot. I
have seen this happen in 2 weeks and then again after a year or two. So
unless you have a back up copy of your reg files. ( I do mine
daily/weekly and save them for a month on the puter and have a copy of
for each month for the last year.) from when it did work properly, you
only choices may be a clean install and/or buy a different type of SC.
