I have a client with Windows XP, her PC has developed an issue where the system will run very slowly. I have checked the system and determined that one of the SVCHOST's is utilising very high CPU. I have used tasklist /svc to identify what services are active within this SVCHOST, however, I cannot establish which of these is actually the culprit. I will not go into detail of everything I have tried at this stage, suffice it to say that I'm looking for some guidance on how one determines which task is using the CPU power. My gut feeling at the moment is the problem is somehow related broadband but I obviously need to be more scientific with my troubleshooting.

I hope someone might have seen this type of problem and will be able to point me in the right direction - Thanks
