Hi all,

I was recently infected with the W32 / Plage.worm.gen virus through an email attachment. ( Yes, I made the mistake of trying to open an exe file from a trusted ? source. ) Although my VScan program caught it, and after cleaning and deleting, I still got a message on boot-up stating "Unable to run INETD.EXE as stated in Win.ini." Luckily I had a good copy of win.ini, which I replaced, and the message is gone. I ran my VScan program again, twice, and searched entire drives for keywords, and cleaned / searched for related registry enties. Now everything *seems* fine, but I still have my doubts. It may just be paranoia as everything does seem to run fine with no error warnings, but I'd like to be certain...

Does anyone know anything about this particular virus, and a possible site for running a diagnostic and/or a fix? Thanks in advance for any help.
