Hi Sam,
This seems to be an oft discussed problem. I just recently loaded XP Pro and
was I delighted to see that IE windows still don't open maximized. What
usually works is to open a window, drag it to full size, click file, new,
window, and if it doesn't open full, drag to full. The last and important
step is to choose file, close. Don't use the X in the corner. This seems to
fix the problem "most" of the time. Worked in 2K and has in XP as well.

Hi All:

I have been fighting with this issue for a while and cannot figure it out.
I have setup shortcuts with maximized windows set and still not happening.
I think that there must be a registry entry/hack that I could do. Tried
repairing IE and still did not help. Could anyone suggest a possible fix?

Using IE 5.5 with Win 98SE and all patches including the 128 bit security.

Sam Reiner
