Greetings--

Not knowing which slide show software you are using, I'll just relate what I know about PowerPoint. There is a free PowerPoint viewer that can be downloaded from MS. You could either include that on the disc or ask your recipients to download and install it. To make things "easier" for all (using PowerPoint), you could save the presentation as a Slide Show (pps instead of ppt extension). This can even be done by the simple expedient of changing the normal ppt extension to pps. You'll be 'warned' but it works.

As for DVD authoring, those disk menus can involve a bit of a learning curve. It regularly does for me as I don't creat DVDs that often, so I have to relearn... I've been using Sony Vegas Movie Studio DVD and, once you have a slide show or an avi file, authoring the DVD is done with the included DVD Architect Studio. I suppose for someone who's been trained in this type of video production, the interface and procedures might be intuitive enough, but I struggle with them every time. They're not for the faint of heart. Good luck with whatever choice you make.
