Follow Up on my earlier contribution I asked my PC vendor to check the 32MB of SDRAM to see if it was the source of Page Faults experienced in multiple apps. The memory was good but he did what he called and intensive test of the hard disk. This revealed a couple of bad block areas (Quantum 2.1 GB UDMA) and suggested replacement under warranty. It was replaced and the page fault problem appears to have disappeared. Larry Stewart PCSOFT: http://nospin.com or [log in to unmask] |
