HI,
The first time I did this, it ran without a hitch..but this time.....
I have Win 2000 on Drive C:
Windows 98SE on Drive D:
When I boot, I get the Win2000 generated O/S Menu but when I pick Win98, the PC reboots for some reason....Win2000 boots fine.
Does anyone else have this O/S config and can tell me word for word what should be in 'boot.ini' (as I mucked with that)
This is how it currently reads:
[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT="Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional" /fastdetect
D:\="Microsoft Windows 98"
Also, EXACTLY which files are required in the root directory of my Win98 partition to boot? At the moment I have Autoexec.bat,config.sys,command.com and netlog.txt. (I fear the Win2000 installation on C: may have overwritten a Win98 file or two)
Thanks :)
