I too was frustrated by the seeming inability to delete an errant password
or whatever. The solution is so simple it's scary: instead of right clicking
and choosing delete from the menu, highlight the wrong choice and press the
DELETE key on the keyboard.

I've tried right clicking and it won't let me delete the wrong info. I've
deleted all the
cookies off my system and emptied the Temporary Internet Folder as some else
suggested.
The popup Window asked me if I wanted Windows to remember the password, so
it has to be in
windows somewhere. Could it be a registry entry that I need to delete???
I've also tried typing in the correct address and ignoring the Windows one,
but the next
time I go back the wrong address is there again. I would really like to get
rid of this
thing!
Thanks to everyone that has tried to help.

Also when you start typing, the wrong choice will pop down. Right click
the incorrect address, and choose delete from the choices. Then you will
have only the correct.
