Hello,
When I try to install the game from the CD, the message appears 'severe...requires Win95'
In other words, although it opens and plays in Win98, it is incompatible with more advanced OS.

Any game that works on Win 98 should also work on Win XP but to answer your
question conceptually, No because you are not running the Win 98 system that
lives on the external drive. Win 98 is just stored there as a bunch of files
and folders.

I have an external enclosure mounted HD which has WIN98 installed on it, and
can connect it to my desktop with WIN XP installed via a USB cable. It
appears as drive F.
Is it possible to use this arrangement to play a game which will operate on
WIN 98 but not on a more advanced OS?
