1.Yes-copy them as data, as pointed out by another poster.
2.Music match jukebox makes this process pretty simple, but it contains
spyware and advertising unless you get the paid version. I use Exact Audio
Copy and Razor Lame which is slightly more involved, but is free and well
supported.

3.My current record for complete songs on a CD is 194. There are obviously
many variables here.
4.It would be to your advantage to record high quality mp3s as explained at
the site above. Track and title information can be automatically recorded if
you connect to a CD database before recording. Give some thought to what you
include on a large collection. Some of my earlier efforts had too much
variety. A DVD player will enable you to include a menu and folders if your
burning software has the capability.
There are many good sites that can give you far more information than I can:
http://www.cdfreaks.com/
http://clone.cd/phpBB/
http://www.jthz.com/mp3/
... and many more.
You might want to check out the Kazaa file sharing software where you can
find an almost unlimited number of mp3s.
Have fun.

1 - Is is possible to store the mp3 on a CD and then play them on the
computer?
2 - If so, what software is required (Both to create the mp3 and to store to
a cd)?
3 - How many songs could I expect to store on a single CDR?
4 - Any pitfalls I should be aware of to make this process go smoothly?
