Not all CD drives act the same. reading multi-session CDs can be real
problem sometimes. I build computers, so I keep my driver CD up to date,
there are many sessions on each CD (from 12 to 19 at most), not all drives
(even they work fine) can read all my CDs. sometimes, none of my recent
drivers CDs can be read by particular drive, but it could read my old driver
CD (with more sessions) perfectly, sometimes, one or two CDs are disliked by
a particular brand at a given time. You just have to live with it.

I too burn CDs most of time from Richo burner, but I don't think it is
Richo, since other brand (not Richo OEM drives) does the same. For same
reason, Nero has nothing to do with it either, we still have one workstation
that use old EasyCD 4 and experiensed the same. My personal Sony CDRW
didn't have this problem yet, but I don't do small backup usually, I do big
backup so that I don't have many multi-session CD's at home that have more
than 5 sessions.
