I think you said that you could not save from your mail program
(Outlook) when you open the letter containing the gif, go up to file, then
save attachment ( to your desktop is best) and then it should open in
your browser. You can open it with the browser or just drag it on the
open browser.

I recommend you download Irfanview.....a great program to have and it
is free.
