I do not believe anyone knows that answer.   My view is that since the
area
inside a sector is written (electrical patterns) over and over millions
of
times.  That the coating may fail to accept the electrical pattern i.e.
letter
or numeric character thereby causing a bad sector.

I'm not an engineer.  Let's see that they will say.
