John,

I don't think you have a problem. The messages you are getting may be empty
messages. A 37Kb size is very small. Email messages can use up a bit of
space due to Mime and other hidden routines. (Send a blank email to a
friend and see how large the size is.) So unless you know that the specific
email has a message I wouldn't worry about it.

Of course if you get many empty messages then something is fowled up. Then
I would suggest reinstalling your email software and any other software
that is related to your email.
