I have a compaq preario 4402 with a pre installed phone and fax program
which was  working fine until it ran the following message: the
CPQPHONE.EXE is linked to  missing export MAPI32.DLL:140. There are a
few "mapi" files in windows, and of different sizes. There is one in
win/sys on  my other computer with 709 kb.  I copied that one in put it
in the ComPaq win/sys which already had a mapi32.dll of 25Kb , but that
didn't  work. Perhaps I have not copied it into the right place?   Is
this a windows file? If it is, how do I get it, and if from microsoft,
from what hidden corner since I can never find things easily at that
site.
Also, I do not understand the "140" part, nor what "export" means.
Obviously it had to have been there but do not know how I deleted it,
but I must have.

Any help would be highly appreciated.
