What that means is that the program is not compatible with XP which does not use 16-bit or DOS. Using 16-bit color is not related to the relationship between 16-bit and 32-bit programs. Either find an XP compatible update or you won't be able to run it unless the Windows Compatibility app will allow it. Look on Accessories/system for this shortcut and follow the instructions.
