Linda I recently wrote a letter called msconfig double entry because I had two of the same line for my video card in my msconfig. I know that in order to eliminate a line in msconfig you pretty much have to do it through Regedit. How exactly I don't know. I never got a response. I will say this thou if you have most of the boxes unchecked it doesn't really hurt you any to have the lines there that way you always have the option of turning them back on. Having a page full of entries in miscounted unchecked doesn't hurt performance it helps speed up the boot up. Having them checked will slow down the boot up. So unless they are causing a stability problem I would let them be. If you have another reason for wanting to remove them please let us know.
