Even though you didn't backup the registry, Windows does.
You should have two hidden files in C:\WINDOWS
They are USER.DA0 and SYSTEM.DA0 (zeroes not ohs)
Boot to DOS
Use the ATTRIB command to unhide these two files
(ATTRIB /? will explain how to use it.)
Use ATTRIB to unhide the current registry files
USER.DAT and SYSTEM.DAT
Now copy the DA0 file overtop of the DAT file.
Use ATTRIB to rehide all the files.
You __should__ now be able to reboot into windows
