Diane;
Just make sure during the reinstall when windows prompts you for an install
directory,
you reinstall into the same directory it was in - c:\windows by default
your program shortcuts,drivers and programs shouldn't be affected.
You should backup your user files anyway regardless of whether you
reinstall.
Also after dealing with Lexmark, I would make sure you exhaust
every other option before reinstalling windows.
I would probably run the windows system file checker - SFC
to see if any windows files are corrupted.
