Subject: Outlook question

I haven't done this for so long I'm not sure I remember how, so I hope I'm
doing it right.
I am using Outlook 2002 SP3 under Windows XP Pro SP1. I only have dial-up
access with a max of 46kbps. Friends frequently send e-mails with
attachments containing pictures, sound, video, animation, etc. They take a
very long time to download. But not always, and there's no way to know in
advance (or is there?). While they are downloading the entire computer is
pretty much tied up - I can't even minimize Outlook and do something else
while waiting. I would like to know if there's a way to cancel the download
without exiting Outlook. To date, I've only been able to abort a download,
once begun, by using ctrl-alt-del and ending Outlook.

Thanks for any hints.
Lee
