Hi Tech people: Running win98se on my own build with 1.1ghz celeron,512mb sdram, 30gbhd,nvidia geforce2/mx400 video card on a MSI 5309 MOBO. Everything was working OK for a few days until I started getting frequent unattended freeze ups. By un-attended I mean the machine was idle for 1 hour or more. Now, when I try to load software or when I'm on the net, if I try to download something or even at times change web sites, I experience this same fatal error which is, FATAL EXCEPTION OE HAS OCCURRED AT 0028:C004F320 IN VXD VCACHE (01) 00000B20. THE CURRENT APPLICATION WILL BE TERMINATED.
Pressing any key gives me a blank screen with mouse pointer. CTRL-ALT-DEL gives me the mesage over and over again until I get a total freeze up that only a manual power down and re-up will get me back to the desktop. I'd appreciate any help on this one because I do not want to have to format to get back to normal on this one. Thanks Ed Bogert
