Thank you, Peter and Lew!  Much appreciated.  I finally did succeed in 
making that system backup -- actually found the instructions right on 
the computer under "My Toshiba" in the files!  Duh?! <blush>  Now I'm 
just about ready to actually _use_ it, but I have one more question:

Will it matter whether I use dial-up or a free Wi-Fi connection to get 
online for the first time?   My new "baby" does have a built-in phone 
modem, as well as satellite capability.
