Go to the shortcut you normally use to launch a DOS window. Open the
Properties window for that shortcut, then select the Program tab. Go to
the "Batch File" area. If you want to run the same single DOS command
each time you open the DOS window from this shortcut, then simply type
the command (and any applicable arguments) into the Batch File area. If
you need to run more than one DOS command each time you start a DOS
session from this shortcut, then you'll need to create a simple batch
file and enter the name of that batch file in this spot.
Real world example: I have "doskey /insert" (no quotes) entered as my
Batch File.
