I don't know how I did this but I like it!

I put a shortcut icon to my recipe files on my desktop (Windows XP). Somehow, on the right side of the task bar, the word Recipes appeared with some arrows. When I click on the arrows, a list of my recipes folders appear, where I can access them. Also, there is a vertical line after the word Recipes on the task bar. When I click on this, it takes me directly to the file, Recipes, that is under My Documents. I really like it there but I would like to know how I did it, in case I accidentally lose it. I hope I explained this well enough for anyone to understand. Thanks for your help.
