Several People have wondered about how to get rid of those pesky shortcut
arrows, the latest person mentioning it being Kathleen.
If you are comfortable with registry editing, here is how to do it....
From www.windows-help.net
Get rid of Shortcut Arrow
Shortcut icons have a small curved arrow in the lower-left corner. To
remove the arrow, follow these instructions:
Start the Registry Editor
Go to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT \ lnkfile
Delete the value IsShortcut
Go to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT \ piffile
Delete the value IsShortcut
Close the Registry Editor and restart Windows
Note: These settings can also be changed with TweakUI (you can find it on
your Win 98 CD-ROM in the \tools\reskit\powertoy folder).
I hope that this helps all who have been asking about it.
Sincerely,
Sam Reiner
