Stranger things can happen with windows... Try to deinstall the modem by going
to start,settings,control panel,system and than to the modem entry there,
highlight it and say remove... after you reboot windows must see the modem again
automaticly. If not you have to install it again by start,settings,control
panel,add new hardware...
